Sleighing It - Holiday Makeup Series - Mrs. Claus

Welcome to the third and final installment of...
I can’t believe that Christmas is literally only hours away! This holiday season really went by fast!
Who else gets soooo excited and also soooo sad on Christmas Day because it’s here and then it’s over and you have to wait another 365 days for it to be back!?
Always so bittersweet. Sigh...
But, moving on.
Who’s ready for the last festive look!??

You better watch out...
You better not cry...
You better not pout...
I’m telling you why...
Forget about Santa... Mrs. Claus is coming to town (and she’s painting it red and green)!
Mrs. Claus ain’t old and frumpy. No way!
She has decked the halls, trimmed the trees, and baked 4,876,982 Christmas cookies in December alone. Why would Mrs. Christmas herself NOT have red and green rhinestone eye liner?
It’s a no brainer if you ask me!
I know this is suppose to be a crazy Christmas look... but I kinda want to rock that red and green rhinestone eyeliner in public! Is that not so fun?
It was actually super easy to get this eye look. I kept the eye shadow simple since I wanted those rhinestones to POP! Just a tiny dab of gold glitter from the NYX Foil Play Palette to set off the inner corner.
I made an extra large black wing for my eye liner so I would have something to follow for the rhinestone placement. Then I just used a pair of tweezers to gently place the rhinestones on individually. They are self adhesive so I didn’t have to apply glue or anything (and glue around my eyes scares me)!!
I smoked out the bottom lash line with a deep green eye shadow (from the Huda Beauty Obsessions palette in Emerald).
Mrs. Claus had to have rosy cheeks and a serious glowing highlight (all that cold weather and Christmas spirit have to be good for something, right?)
To finish off the makeup look Mrs. Claus has matching red eyebrows and lips! I mean... red lips was a given right? I added just a touch of that same gold glitter that I used for my inner eye corner on the center of my lips - just for fun!
Christmas-y perfection.

Now for the wearable version of this Christmas look.

Fun fact: I actually did this makeup look first, and then did the Mrs. Claus makeup on top of it!
So, everything is the same (minus the rhinestones, glitter, red brows, and bright pink cheeks).
Everything for this makeup look is pretty simple and straight forward.
I used the same two eye shadows for this look as I did in my last post (HERE) from the Luminess Nude & Naughty Palette.
I used shade 1 (Bare) all over the lid from lashes to brow bone to create an even base. Then I added shade 2 (Toffee) in the crease and outer corner to add a little depth to my eyes, but not a lot of color. I also used shade 2 (Toffee) underneath my lower lash line as well.
I did a classic cat eye wing liner with my favorite IT Cosmetics Superhero liquid Liner.

***We interrupt this blog post to share a quick 3 step wing liner tutorial!***
***Now back to your regularly scheduled Christmas look***

For the face, I added a nice pop of rose pink blush on the apples of my cheeks and liberally applied a champagne highlighter to my cheekbones, brow area, nose, and chin. I just love how it lightens up the face and adds a nice glow. I also used a light colored bronzer to add a little more color to my face, but not a full on contour. My Physician's Formula Butter Bronzer works beautifully for adding a natural warmth.
For the final step, I layered my Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Rubino (a nice deep brick red) and added the shimmer version of the shade Beso on top to give it a little reflection. I feel like a good red lip pairs so perfectly with a nice winged eye. There is just something so classic about it and it’s definitely a go-to for any holiday gathering.
Before I sign off on this look... did you notice my adorable Christmas light earrings!? Are they not just too cute? Guess what!? The best thing about them is that they’re from Walmart!!! And only $5!!
The Christmas tree earrings I am wearing in my Mrs. Claus look are also from Walmart as well!
