January Beauty Faves

Happy Monday, Folks!
How’s your January going so far?
Lucky for you today is a double whammy since it’s January... and also a Monday.
But...ManicMakeupGirl is here to help make your Monday tolerable with some of my January beauty favorites!
These are the beauty items that I have been using on REPEAT this month (and possibly longer).

1) OGX Aspen Extract Dry Texturizing Spray
2) E.L.F. Fluffy Eye Blending Brush
3) Tula Rose Glow Cooling and Brightening Eye Balm
4) Smashbox Studio Skin Full Coverage 24 Hour Foundation
5) Philosophy The Microdelivery Exfoliating Facial Wash
6) Botanics Organic Overnight Restoring Facial Oil

This dry texturizing spray has been a serious game changer for my hair. I have been using this product for the last 6 months and it is hands down my favorite dry texture spray (and I have tried quite a few). The reason I love this one so much is because it smells amazing, adds the perfect balance of volume and texture to my curls, and it isn’t crunchy, sticky, or clumpy. I use this when I want to add a little more volume to my messy bun, a bump of texture to my ponytail, or for both when I do loose waves. I recently used this on my sister’s hair and she fell in love too! She has very fine hair and it added so much volume to her updo. So, if you’re looking for a product to help your hair hold volume and give your curls, waves, or messy buns some “oomph”... YOU NEED THIS! I get mine at Ulta when they have a buy one get one half off sale to stock up. Target and other drug stores also carry this brand as well (and it’s under $10)!

E.L.F. has always had awesome eye makeup brushes for as long as I can remember. They were some of the first brushes I bought (way back in my teenage years) because they were only $1!!! Even though they were seriously cheap, they were still seriously amazing quality. I have continued to purchase E.L.F. makeup brushes throughout the years and the quality has only gotten better. This fluffy eye blending brush is $4 and has become my go-to blending brush for my eye looks. It really is so fluffy and soft but it is still firm enough to blend the shadow out evenly and quickly. I highly recommend E.L.F. eye makeup brushes - especially this one!

This Tula eye balm stick has quickly become a new favorite of mine. I use this every morning and night to help depuff and cool my under eye area. It seriously has the most refreshing cooling sensation that lasts for about 20 minutes. This eye balm also has a slight rose gold shimmer to it so it brightens up the eye area while it cools and tightens. Honestly, I wouldn't even care if it did absolutely nothing to my eye area because it just feels so darn refreshing. But, luckily it really does depuff, tighten, and brighten while it cools. A total FAVE of my skincare routine.
P.S.- I will be sharing my top eye products to beat puffiness, dark circles, wrinkles and more in an upcoming post! Eye product recommendations have been highly requested, so ManicMakeupGirl has got your BACK (or your under eye). Stay tuned because you won’t want to miss these eye products.

This Smashbox foundation came out last year and received a TON of hype about how good it was. Naturally, I had to try it. I am happy to report that the hype is REAL. This stuff is legit my new favorite full coverage foundation. The coverage is unreal and takes just a tiny bit to cover your whole face. It has a matte finish and you can build it up or sheer it down to your liking with a beauty blender sponge. This foundation says it lasts up to 24 hours... but I am not putting that to the test (and who needs to wear it for that long!?? Wash your face!!). However, I have put in a good 12 hours of wear and it didn’t budge. I have an oily T-zone and I didn’t even need to apply a blotting powder or anything. No separation or shine at all. I am seriously in love! This is definitely going to be a #1 in the hot summer months for me.

Hey... it’s me mentioning this Philosophy exfoliating face wash again. If you have heard me rave about this stuff before then please feel free to skip ahead. But, it’s just that good!
For the past year this face wash has been used DAILY.
Seriously. Every. Single. Day.
Nothing makes my face feel more smooth, clean, and exfoliated as this does. One bottle lasts me forever and I will continue to buy this over and over because nothing has even come close to beating it. If you have oily skin, exfoliation is key and this stuff helps keep your pores clear and acne at bay. It has truly changed my skin and I will continue to mention it on my favorites until the world ends.

You guys already know of my serious love for the Botanics 100% Organic Nourishing Facial Oil (here). Well, I still love, love, LOVE that one and will continue to use it. But, when I saw that they came out with a new nighttime restoring facial oil, I just HAD to get my hands on it.
This facial oil is just...luxurious. I feel like I have been to the spa every time I use it. The smell alone is relaxing and calming but the way it makes my skin feel in the morning is priceless. So hydrated (but not greasy), soft, smooth, and truly restored. I also love that this is 100% organic too. It is good for your skin and it really works (that’s why it has all 5 star reviews on Ulta.com). If you haven’t gotten on the face oil train yet, this product is a wonderful one to start with. This oil is gentle and wonderful for all skin types. (Remember that oil + oil doesn’t = more oil, so don’t be scared to try this if you have oily skin like me).
