Easy Halloween Makeup - Queen of Hearts

Her evil laugh shatters glass...and hearts.
Her favorite color is red, because it's all she sees.
She can start a fire with the heat of her villainous glare.
Her only hobby is collecting hearts...broken hearts that is.
She's the Queen of mean.
She's the Queen of Hearts.
Would you like to know what makeup items I used for this look?
Red and black eye shadow
Red liquid lipstick
Black liquid eyeliner.
Mascara.
That's IT!
Talk about EASY, right!?
I did add some leftover face jewels, but that is definitely a personal preference (And in fact I wish I had left them off). I didn't have a cool crown so I figured we could use some left over sparkle to add a "queenly" touch.
The name of this makeup game is blending. I blended and blended and blended some more to make the black and red eye shadows nice and smoky. I wanted my queen to have the appearance of dark under eye circles and a dark under eye area ...because she's so evil she never sleeps. So, precision is not necessarily needed for this look. Blend the red and black shadows (or whatever colors you would like to use) up over the eyebrows and down under the eye area (I used a foundation blending brush for this to cover more area faster). I also used the black and red shadows to contour my cheek area and under my jaw as well. I decided to draw the heart shape above my brows to give it a semi-cartoon like look and also so it would reshape my face (to you guessed it... a heart). Feel free to add this step in your look, or simply do without.
Your queen can have whatever she wishes!
I did add a little drawn on heart for fun (you can totally use stickers too if you have them).
For my lips I used my trusty Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Beso (Red) and then outlined them in my black eye liner to give them a more pronounced heart shape at the top and also look more dramatic.
And get this...for my costume I stole my son's super hero cape and turned it inside out. See!? I told you we were making this easy and using things we already had around the house!
Boom!
Boy mom WIN!
As I said before, I also didn't have a crown laying around so I used an elastic headband to encircle my bun to make my own headpiece.
If you want to go 100% Queen of Hearts, a crown made of playing cards would also be a cool touch.
But again, use what you have an make up your own story!
