Who wants to look like a plain ole Frankenstein when you can be a FrankenGlam!?? People will be green with envy over this Halloween look because not only are you scary... you’re beautifully scary.

You all should know by now how I love some glitter and some glamour. I showed you my glitter makeup soul yesterday and today I am showing you my glamour side.
I was looking for inspiration on (where else) Pinterest... for cool Halloween makeup ideas and saw many Frankenstein inspired looks. However, I wasn’t totally sold on the green face deal because I didn’t want to look like Shrek or the wicked witch. Seriously, I just couldn’t get past all the green. So, I decided to get the best of both worlds with this half-n-half look. And come on... I’ll use any excuse to pump up the glitter!

I feel like this makeup look seems like you spent hours on it, but really it’s super simple and fast. The only difference in the glamour side and the Frankenstein side is the green color! Everything else was exactly the same (eyes, blush, highlighter, etc). I didn’t have any green face paint handy, so I used matte green eye shadow and it actually looked perfect. I applied it over my foundation and that helped it have a nice base to grab on to and stand out. I went hard on the contour since this would be an over the top look and I wanted to make sure I had some shape to my face since half of it was green. So, don’t be afraid to carve out those cheekbones and jaw lines heavily. Also make sure you apply blush, contour, and highlighter over the green so it stands out.

I went with deep purple and plum eye shadows to compliment the green. I didn’t want my eye look and my green face to compete with each other and purple tones and purple glitter were the perfect glamour touch to both sides.
Of course I had to go dark and vampy with a deep plum lip to complete the FrankenGlam look. I added a touch of green shimmer eye shadow to the center of my lips to give them a slightly green touch.
Now, on to the details... the stitching.
If you can draw small lines... you can do this. That’s all it is! And because Frankenstein isn’t done by a plastic surgeon, the crazy and more uneven the stitches are, the better! You need to do the stitches last so they don’t get covered up by your green eye shadow or other makeup products. This also helps you to not have to be so precise with the green since you will be drawing out the stitched area after the green is already done.

Start at the top of your forehead and draw short, uneven lines around the green area with a black liquid eyeliner pen. Once you have finished placing the first round of lines around the green area, you can go back and add small lines of red with a red lip liner or eyeliner pencil. Encircle the red areas with the black eyeliner as well to help them stand out and look more “stitched”. Then you can go back over these areas and add the cross stitches in any direction you would like. The more uneven the better, remember?
I continued the stitches around my face, down my neck, and also on my eyebrow for more detail. All of this is totally customizable to whatever look you are going for. Make this your own version of Frankenstein! Your green area can cover your whole face or just a tiny piece (or even not at all... Just add stitches). Remember to make it easy on yourself and use what you have and just have fun!
